This Week in ID – 3/28 to 4/4

Join us on Wednesday to explore how classroom and desktop based lecture capture are being used on campus to capture in class lectures, presentations, audio, and desktop content. Hear from faculty members who are already capturing class lectures and how it has improved student learning and knowledge retention. Lunch and light refreshments will be served.

Thursday afternoon we are offering a workshop on Blackboard Collaborate, a live conferencing tool built into myCourses that allows you to host online meetings (such as office hours) with students.

On Friday morning we are offering a “Getting Started in myCourses” workshop. myCourses allows instructors to post files, accept assignment submissions, incorporate multimedia from popular websites like YouTube, and more!

As some of you may have noticed, LARTS 208 was remodeled over the summer. That space is now designed to facilitate active team-based learning. Attend our “Technology for Team-Based Learning” workshop on Monday the 4th to learn about active and collaborative learning strategies that make use of the technology in LARTS 208. This workshop is limited to College of Arts & Sciences faculty.
