Instructors and students can add Kaltura videos anywhere the Rich Content Editor appears (discussion posts, assignments, etc.).  Instructors can also add Kaltura videos to Canvas Modules.

• • To embed a Kaltura video, click the rainbow asterisk (Embed Kaltura Media) button in the RCE:

  • Click the + Add New button to see the list of options for adding new videos.

      • Uploading Existing Media to Kaltura
      •  After your upload is complete, you change the embed settings by clicking on the settings icon.
      • Click the Save and Embed button to add the video to your Canvas posting.
  • You can also browse and search to embed an existing video from My Media, then  click Embed to add the video to your Canvas posting.
  • Videos can take a few moments to appear in Canvas after clicking Embed, and a full preview may not be available immediately for recent uploads.
  • Remember to save your post in Canvas after embedding.
