There are two basic ways to add a Kaltura video to a course site:

• Add a module item:  Instructors can add videos to any existing module in Canvas
• Embed Video via the Rich Content Editor:  Instructors and students can add videos anywhere the Rich Content Editor appears (discussion posts, assignments, quizzes, announcements etc.)

Add a Video to a Canvas Module

To do this:

• • Go to the Modules area in your course and click the + button next to the appropriate module
  • Select “External Tool”
  • Scroll down and click “Select from Kaltura Media”
    
  • Select the video you wish to add by clicking Embed, or click “Add New” to record or upload a new video
  • Click Add New to add the video to Canvas
  • You may need to click and drag to move the video to the correct location in your module (it will be added at the bottom)

Embed Video via the Rich Content Editor

• This can be done in any field which uses the RCE for content editing
• To embed a Kaltura video, click the rainbow asterisk (Embed Kaltura Media) button:
  
• Select the video you wish to add by clicking Embed, or click “Add New” to record or upload a new video
• The video will appear in the RCE (this may take a minute), and you can continue editing your content as normal.
• Make sure to save when you’re done.
