Previously the New Quizzes in Canvas (the version of the quiz tool we are using) did not include a survey option, but that option is now available:
One recommendation we have based on testing this new tool: Graded surveys give all the available points for simply submitting the survey, not for answering individual questions. That means for graded surveys it’s a good idea to mark important questions as required, so students can not submit the survey without answering them.
